SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY
WHO WE ARE
AN INTRODUCTION
Aztec Racing Formula SAE Team is a 501(c)3 non-profit student-run organization at San Diego State University.

San Diego State University's Formula SAE Team began in 1994, with limited resources, loose organization, and low interest in both students and faculty. It wasn't until 2008 that Aztec Racing was recognized, being awarded the SAE Perseverance Award for being one of the top three rookie teams at the FSAE West Competition in Fontana, California.
In 2012, Aztec Racing was able to compete in all events, a first in all the years the team has existed. In 2019, this achievement was once again realized due in part to a higher organizational standard, a shift in focus from the grandeur and ambitious designs to a "back to basics" methodology, and a highly motivated team

Formula SAE is an international collegiate design competition focused on a student-designed and manufactured open-wheel race car. For the 2019-2020 competition year, there are two competitions hosted in The United States of America. One taking place in Michigan in May, and one taking place in California in June. We are currently planning to attend California's competition.
